01/06/10 - Hein Achieves Certified Diabetes Educator Status

Tamara Hein, MPH, RD, LD, CDE, a Registered Dietitian in the Health Learning Center and Bariatrics/Weight Control Center at Affiliated Community Medical Centers and the Willmar Diabetes Center, recently achieved Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE®) status by successfully completing the Certification Examination for Diabetes Educators administered by the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (NCBDE). Candidates must meet rigorous credential and professional practice experience requirements to be eligible for certification.

Achieving Certified Diabetes Educator® status demonstrates that the health care professional possesses distinct and specialized knowledge, thereby promoting quality of care for people with diabetes.
