Scope of Practice
Provides specialty and subspecialty care for women of all ages.
Evaluates, manages and treats:
- Contraception
- Disorders of the breasts, genitalia and internal pelvic structure (such as prolapse or incontinence)
- Family planning
- Gynecologic cancers (for more extensive cancers, the department provides support to gynecologic oncologists)
- Infertility
- Peri-menopausal and menopausal symptoms and issues
- Uncomplicated and high risk pregnancies
Office/Surgical procedures include:
- Amniocentesis
- Bladder and rectocele repairs
- C-sections
- Cerclage
- Colposcopy
- Cryotherapy
- Endometrial ablation for heavy menses

- Essure Permanent Birth Control

- Laparoscopy
